GUEST POLICY
All residents may have guests in the residence halls. University Housing allows 24 hour visitation for guests but does not permit cohabitation. Residents may have overnight guests stay in their room for up to three consecutive nights (no more than six nights in a calendar month), but guests may not sleep in common areas. Residents should communicate with their roommates about guest visitation expectations for their specific room or apartment.
Residents must check in all guests. All hosts and guest must leave a government issued photo ID at the community desk upon arrival. All guests will receive a wristband and are required to wear the wristband while in the building. Residents must escort guest at all times. Residents are responsible for their guest’s behavior and will be held accountable for their actions.
Residents who have questions about the guest policy should contact their resident assistant or hall director. They may also email questions.
Visitor Guest Parking
There is no visitor parking in the Georgia State University Commons or Piedmont North parking decks. All visitors may park in the pay meters adjacent to the Commons parking deck, at the pay meters in front of Piedmont North, public lots available or in a legal space on the street. Vehicles must pay at the meter and place the receipt on their dashboard. Vehicles without a displayed receipt or an expired ticket will be towed or booted at the owners’ expense. Residents who experience issues with the parking meter should contact the Parking Coordinator in University Housing at 404-413-1915.
