Congratulations, Juan Hill!
University Housing would like give a huge Panther Praise to Juan Hill, an exceptional member of the facilities team, honoring him as the featured student and staff highlight for September 2016! Over the past few months, Juan has demonstrated his dedication to his job, the residents and the department as a whole while temporarily assuming the role of locksmith foreman.
Juan transitioned almost seamlessly into the locksmith foreman position even without having full knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of the title. He maintained residence halls for summer residents and conference guests, while responding overnight and on weekends to emergency situations. But that’s not all.
In August 2016, Georgia State University opened Piedmont Central, a premier residence hall housing 1,152 residents. As a solo team member, Juan worked tirelessly to install locks, create keys and service access card readers to prepare for the addition of over 1000 first time residents. In addition, Juan was also responsible for making sure all University Housing residence halls were move in ready for August. Juan went over and beyond to complete every task required!
Juan is an outstanding member of the team, meeting deadlines and interact with the student and professional staff members. Because of all the work that Juan has put into his position this month to allow the department to function, University Housing believes that Juan is more than deserving of the honor of being acknowledged as the student and staff highlight for the month of September. Thank you for all that you do Juan!
